- 5.0 out of 5 stars from rick harding -- Fascinating read : As someone who grew up in Glasgow but been away for many years it was an eye-opener to read about all the wildlife in the city itself, normally unseen, but available for anyone who has the patience, takes time and knows where to look. The chapters on the Inner Hebrides - Colonsay, Scarba, etc - brought back wonderful memories of family holidays in the area. I learned many things for the first time such as that Tiree only becomes visible in big storms when there are large sea-swells. Who knew? The locals! ( Reviewed in Australia on November 1, 2021 )
